MY BUCKET LIST:
Go fishing with Terry Bradshaw - I'm just afraid when I get him out on the boat he is going to talk to much and scare the fish. Just kidding Mr. Bradshaw :)

I LOVE SIGNS...
I have always loved signs and what they had to say ~ it never mattered if they were funny, crude, witty or sweet.

Me and Big Brother
As a matter of fact I made my first sign when I was about 13 or so. One summer day I was given a rose, a week later I decided to make a sign with my withered rose and a weathered piece of wood I found in the gully. I glued the dried rose to the piece of wood and typed the perfect poem titled "One Perfect Rose" on a piece of paper. I burned the edges of my poem, spilled a little of Dad's left over coffee on it, dried it and glued it to the weathered piece of wood. Perfection!
The sign is long gone, but I will always remember it barely hanging on my wall with a single piece of thread from Mom's sewing box and a few rusted nails from Dad's barn.

I LOVE OLD WESTERNS...

Little Sister and Blacky
Wheather it's old westerns, old movies or old cartoons, I'm a fan.
I grew up in a rural area with limited television channels, I think we had five TV channels and if we rewired the back of the television to UHF we could get The Lone Ranger, The Rifleman and Gunsmoke.
Little did I know that 25 years later I would meet Buck Taylor (who played Newly on Gunsmoke). Buck Taylor is a very talented artist.
His Dad, Dub Taylor , which was also an actor, is in one of my favorite movies "You Can't Take it With You" 1938. It is not a western, but I love that movie!

Combine my love for signs and old westerns and this is where I am today.

Sold Signs...

3 feet x 4 feet horseshoe sign.
*SOLD*
If you want a sign from my website but is marked ~SOLD~ I can create one similar but not identical. Each sign develops its own characteristic during the painting process, part of that depends on what old western I'm watching for inspiration while painting.
SIGNS
Signs are made out of either new 3/4 inch pine, distressed OR old barn wood when I can find it, reclaimed wood (vintage table tops, doors and windows), fencing pickets and even plywood when requested. The brand new wood may slightly warp as it dries and has knots and will eventually bleed through the paint, but will add to the already distressed look. The new wood will be scraped, sanded, beaten, scuffed, or burned - whatever I can do to make the wood look older or made per your instruction.
~I design each sign on the computer before I paint. I can email a picture of the design , Once you approve the layout design, I start the painting process.
~I use acrylic paints.
~I have many shades of paint on hand, you can choose from basic paint colors - red, black, brown, tan, white, etc...and I will get as close to the color you need.
~Outdoor signs are extra - I use a premium primer coat that I let cure for 10 days before any paint design is applied and then I top it off with a high quality sealer.
~Each sign is priced differently - it depends on how many words and how much detailed work is involved. I try to keep my signs affordable to you but make a little for me to pay for my supplies and time.
I will answer your emails - If you sent an email and you are waiting for a my response, be sure to check your spam folder . They sometimes get stuck in there.
PAYMENT:
